      1. i didn’t know that. But (for whatever it’s worth) I’ve seen it in the fall as well, although my flower book only mentions spring squill.

      2. I’ve just looked it up! Autumn squill is a separate species but quite similar except, obviously, grows in the autumn. Like the spring version it’s native to Cornwall and the coast of Devon and, oddly enough, a colony in Hampton Court Park so there you go 🙂
